Please send CV's to us at info@mm-auctions.com

Current Vacancy: Part Time Auction Assistant

We are currently recruiting for a Part Time Auction Assistant, working up to 15 hours per week

  • Handling and organising incoming auction consignments

  • Assisting with lotting, labelling and preparing items for sale

  • Basic photography and catalogue support (where required)

  • Assisting with auction day set-up and general support

Current Vacancy: Specialist Consultant (Self-Employed / Contract Basis)

We are looking to work with specialist consultants on a self-employed, contracted basis, to support the appraisal, identification and cataloguing of specialist consignments.

As our auction business continues to grow, we regularly handle large and varied collections. We are therefore seeking knowledgeable individuals with genuine specialist expertise who can assist on an ad-hoc or regular basis.

Areas of Specialist Interest

We are interested in consultants with expertise in one or more of the following:

  • Toys and collectables

  • Vintage and modern diecast

  • Farm toys and agricultural models

  • Model trucks / lorries and commercial diecast

  • Star Wars collectables and film memorabilia

  • Comics and pop culture collectables

  • LEGO

  • Retro gaming and vintage electronics

  • Coins, medals and militaria

  • Watches, jewellery and silver

  • Posters, autographs and TV/film memorabilia

If your specialist area is not listed, we would still be pleased to hear from you.

Consultant Duties May Include

  • Appraisal and identification of collections

  • Supporting accurate catalogue descriptions

  • Advising on sale strategy (single items vs group lots vs clearance lots)

  • Pricing guidance and reserve recommendations

  • Assisting on-site with major collection sorting or valuation visits (where applicable)

Rewarding Commission Opportunities

For suitable instructions, there is potential for a rewarding commission-based incentive, particularly where a consultant introduces a consignment, identifies key value within a collection, or supports the successful sale of specialist material.

Commission structures are agreed in advance and on a case-by-case basis, depending on the nature of the work, the category, and the size/value of the consignment.

Working Arrangement

  • Self-employed / contract basis

  • Flexible working: ad-hoc support or regular involvement depending on workload

  • Rate/fee structure agreed on a case-by-case basis

  • Suitable for collectors, dealers, specialists, and semi-retired professionals
