Saturday’s general toy and model sale at M&M Auctions in Spalding offered 712 lots of farm models, commercial diecast, kits, Lego, bears and Border Fine Arts. 690 lots sold for a combined £56,667 hammer — about £71,967 once the 27% buyer’s premium including VAT is added. Twenty-two lots carried no published hammer and are treated as unsold in the figures below.
Room bidding was open, the sale was broadcast live, and the house again provided in-house worldwide postage. A specialist 1/16 Caterpillar Model Sixty by Gilson Rieke was the only four-figure lot of the day.

Department totals follow the catalogue filters. Combined diecast is farm models + general diecast + bus and transport. Filter rows do not add to the sale total: 164 lots sit outside those departments and are still included in the £56,667.

Farm models
The opening 126 lots were the engine of the sale — and every one sold. Clean, boxed 1/32 Britains, Universal Hobbies, Wiking and Schuco tractors and harvesting kit cleared in a consistent £70–£130 band. Combines and forage harvesters attracted the strongest bidding.

Lego
Eighty-two Lego lots, all sold, made £8,561. The catalogue was mostly boxed modern groups rather than vintage minifigures. Multi-set bundles of as-new product sat in a tight £45–£140 range.

Lot 635 — LEGO House exclusive 40501 The Wooden Duck, signed box. Hammer £90.
Border Fine Arts and commercials
Twenty-one Border Fine Arts lots were offered and 17 sold for £1,705. The strongest group made £260. Farming subjects again outsold the bird and woodland groups: ‘Won’t Start’ £100 and ‘Hauling Out’ £90. Commercial diecast was steady rather than spectacular — a Corgi Heavy Haulage Heanor Haulage Volvo FH with low-loader made £75.
