July Specialist Auction - Day Two - Highlights

Bidding was lively throughout all of our platforms over the course of the second day of the July Specialist Toys, Models and Collectables Auction. Highlights (inc Buyer’s Premium) included:

An impressive and scarce large Dinky Toys illuminated Advertising Shop Display Sign. Made in Belgium by Rob Otten Plastic. Measures approx. 1.3 M in length. With power cable and switch. Rare opportunity. Note: Sign has been tested and is working well with switch.. Sold for £1,240

Group of Matchbox Regular Wheels x 35 Empty Boxes. Generally excellent. Sold for £930

Dinky pre-war no 23a Racing Car in orange with green stripes racing no. 10 plus cast driver figure. Chrome hubs. Generally good to very good for age, missing two rear tyres.. Sold for £868

Gilbert Japanese large scale tinplate battery operated issue comprising James Bond 007 Aston Martin Action Car with figure. Working example appears clean and generally excellent, missing one light as shown, contained in box with bright pictorial lid with inner packaging pieces. Sold for £744

Phillip Segal Toys Very Scarce Nursery Rhyme & Fairy Tale Series comprising The Old Woman in the Shoe Set featuring, the Shoe House, Old Woman & 3 x Children. Well preserved set is generally very good to excellent with only minor specks of wear contained in very good to excellent original box with clear label. Just minor wear and marks. Sold for £682
